Like a bear coming out of hibernation, This Blog's author has awakened after a long sleep to report that:
Sen. Edward (Ted) Kennedy died today. Finally.
The architect of one of the most profoundly damaging pieces of Congressional legislation in history, the White America Killer, the starting point of what shall someday become known as the Great Transformation, AKA the 1965 Immigration Act, has gone to meet his maker.
Hopefully Mary Jo Kopechne's soul will be waiting to meet him too, and demand a long stint for Kennedy in Purgatory. (I'm resigned to the fact he won't go to Hell, after all he was Catholic, and as an old joke goes, you won't find any Catholics in Hell.)
Obama said that Kennedy was quote " The greatest Senator of our time". I think he meant "The greatest Socialist of our time". I guess the TelePrompter wasn't working right.
I really don't have much else to say about this other than all good White conservatives should be happy today, and that we must brace ourselves for Obama's eventual clarion call to pass his health care plan in Kennedy's memory. Yes We Can...Just Say No!
